FOSTER A CHILD. BE THEIR CHAMPION.
She found her “forever” home with Mrs. Hill (a relative) at the age of 10. At the time, because Jennifer’s mother could no longer care for her, Mr. and Mrs. Hill stepped up and opened up their hearts and home to the young girl, and ultimately adopted her at the age of 15. Today, Mr. and Mrs. Hill are the proud parents of a confident and smart 16-year-old, who loves to play volleyball with her friends.

HOPE STARTS WITH YOU…
Foster parents help a family in crisis by providing a child in need with a safe, nurturing, and caring family for a temporary period of time while MercyFirst works towards reunification. By opening your home when a child is removed from their family, you are opening your heart to help a young person overcome their personal obstacles, gain the skills they need to succeed, and learn to develop positive adult relationships. Foster parents provide basic needs such as food, clothing and shelter, along with other important parenting activities, but above all, foster parents help children feel valued, important, accepted and loved.
As a foster parent, your journey will include:
Initial and Ongoing trainings
Financial subsidy for each child
24-hour emergency support
Support groups
*We are here to help you as you through the process, which can take up to 3 months to complete.
